Plastic Pallets are the most sustainable pallet type on the market making them the perfect choice for environmentally conscious businesses (or those with sustainability policies).
They offer a huge range of benefits and are export ready without any fumigation required.
Hygienic, durable, suitable for safe transport of food, and can be easily sanitised for repeated and long term use.
All this makes plastic pallets the ideal choice for industries, where trouble free exportation of goods is required.
Other great advantages of plastic pallets include:
– Fire retardant
– Sustainable and environmentally friendly (plastic pallets are fully recyclable)
– Will not rot or rust
– Water and humidity resistant
– Most can be frozen or refrigerated
– Odour, Pest, fungi, bacteria and mould resistant
– Lighter than standard pallets, saving on transportation and pallet maintenance
– Easily sanitised for environments with where high hygiene or clean room requirements are needed
– Can be hosed / scrubbed down to clean
So what are the downsides?
Plastic pallets cost more than standard pallets, and they are also hard to repair should they become damaged.

DID YOU KNOW
Plastic pallets date back to the 1960s, when patents for the design were first lodged. Blow and injection moulding was the first way to manufacture plastic pallets, before rotational moulding, compression moulding, foam moulding, and thermo moulding became more commonplace.
Since these days plastic pallets have continued to evolve and improve, making them an excellent alternative to standard timber pallets, albeit at a higher price point.
